Today I remapped one of my keys to a Hyper key (known from the space-kadet #keyboard used on Lisp machines, not physically present on modern #keyboards). What surprised me is that #Unix systems typically associate it with the Mod4 modifier, the same that is already associated with the Super (Windows) key, making the two keys more or less undistinguishable for #Emacs. This can be reconfigured, but still… what is the benefit of such configuration in the first place?
